About John Loeffler
As a self-investor, I’ve always had great interest in financial markets. I bought my first business when I was 20 and later worked in the automobile business. I became a finance manager at car dealerships and that grew into a fixed operations manager and general manager of a large dealership’ Given the opportunity to invest money on behalf of the dealership. I had a springboard into the next chapter of my career.
From the auto industry, I moved on to Symmetry Financial and eventually to Edward Jones before branching out with Loeffler Wealth Management. I often see the mistakes people make in managing their money. They’ve worked their whole lives to accumulate a 401K and then they retire…and it seems they don’t seek wise counsel at all or they find the wrong person that sells them a product that’s not in their best interest. It really brings me joy when I meet someone and we set up the retirement plan best for them or a legacy transfer to the next generation. I help them achieve their goals and realize they are in charge. They’ve got a plan and they’ll be able to live the retirement they’ve worked so hard for. There’s no greater joy than seeing someone who didn’t come from a lot of money able to give his grandchildren or great-grandchildren–that he may never meet–the financial stability and security that he never had.
I have a track record of helping those who have purchased a bad annuity or some misguided decisions on trades. I take pride in being a shepherd because there’s a lot of financial products out there and they aren’t all created equal. But when someone finds themselves in a bad financial product, we’ll help them get back on track. In addition to my work in financial management,
I am active in several community organizations throughout Northwestern Illinois including Ducks Unlimited of Northwest Illinois, Pheasants Forever, the Masons in Freeport, the Freeport Community Foundation and the Northwest Illinois Corvette Club. As a member of the community, I am honored each time the opportunity presents itself to help someone achieve their financial goals – no matter how big or small. Getting to know my clients and tailoring portfolios to their exact needs is my passion.
I love what I do. I love to study finance and stocks and help people increase their wealth. Researching companies and investments allows me to find the great idea that might help someone out. Because I didn’t come from wealth, I really understand how much someone sacrifices in the effort to build their wealth.
